As a kick-off program for the Mighty@80 Celebration of Immaculate Conception College (now La Salle University), the Office of Alumni Relations and External Linkages has planned to organize more local alumni chapters to encourage maximum participation during the culmination days on December 16-19,2009. Some of the highlights for this preparation are local visitation to alumni in selected places nearby, holding of community activities and scheduling of organizational meetings.

            According to Director for Alumni Relations and External Linkages Mr. Ralph Oscar C. Bagaboyboy, the said program hopes to strengthen camaraderie and empower the alumni to support the Vision, Mission and Goals of the university. He added the office has initially sent communications to few influential alumni from different places to help in the formation of local alumni chapters. Among those who have been asked to support the program are: Hon. Enrique J. Cabahug Jr., CPA, of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, Division Supervisor of the Department of Education Zamboanga del Sur Mr. Samson S. Acapulco of Molave, Zamboanga del Sur and others. Mr. Bagaboyboy planned to organize alumni chapters in Tangub City, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, Ozamiz City, Oroquieta City and others.
