Alumni Relations Director Organized 2 Local Alumni Chapters

In an effort to strengthen alumni
relations as highlight of the 80th year celebration of the school
and the Grand Alumni Homecoming which is slated on December 26, Director for
Alumni Relations and External Linkages Ralph Oscar C. Bagaboyboy organized two
local alumni chapters in TangubCity and Aurora,
Zamboanga del Sur last August 28 and 31, respectively. The said activity was
gladly welcomed by the alumni who have high expectation for the university to
expand its relations and help promote the programs and activities in the
future. Vice-Mayor Edemar Alota was elected as the first Chapter President of
Tangub City alumni, together with the following individuals: Margissa Amen,
Vice-President for External Affairs; Gloria Legazpi, Vice- President for Internal
Affairs; Dainel Lingganay, Secretary; Myrna Regidor; Treasurer; Nonieto
Banawan, Auditor and the members of the Board of Directors are: Wilma Alia,
Roselyn Penas, Cheryl Cabrido, Yeldez David and Flordeliza Cransus. Before the
election of officers was held, Ralph Oscar Bagaboyboy gave a short
Seminar-Workshop on Conflict Management to prepare the alumni in the organizing
and implementing phase of the chapter. It was hosted by the alumni of Northern
Mindanao State College of Science and Technology in Labuyo, TangubCity
with a sumptuous lunch prepared for this event.
On the other hand, the alumni of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur
met last August 31, 2009 at the Aurora Regional Pilot School Special Education
Center for its first organizational meeting. It was graced by the presence of
Hon. Mayor Enrique J. Cabahug Jr, CPA, also an alumnus, who was elected as
Honorary Chairman, together with the following individuals: Andres Arsenal,
President; Dominador Gorro, Vice-President; Victoria Mago, Secretary; Elisa
Judilla, Treasurer; Vicente Rosal, Auditor, and the members of the Board of
Directors are: Elpedio Madrio, Petra Bustillo, Elizabeth Alegado, Marlene
Martinez, Wela Sabellano, Irenea Arandia and Anita Arsua.
The newly-formed alumni chapters
are now looking forward for the Grand Alumni Homecoming in December. Initial
plans have been made by the groups in preparing themselves for the big day of
the alumni. Bagaboyboy is now taking another step for the formation of more
alumni chapters as highlight of the 80th year celebration.
