The Office of Alumni Relations and External Linkages spearheaded a PEACE Forum through a Research Utilization meeting, in cooperation with the Bishops-Ulama Conference of the Philippines last October 24, 2009 at the University Function Hall.

It was attended by around 15 individuals composed of selected school administrators, church, youth and civic leaders. The primary aim of the Forum was to present to the participants the output of the Peace Process initiated by Bishops-Ulama Conference of the Philippines previously in Davao in the presence of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

According to Dr. Fedelinda B. Tawagon, Coordinator of the Mindanao KONSULT of the Bishops-Ulama Conference of the Philippines and President of Dansalan College Foundation Inc. in Marawi City, the Forum aimed to increase the level of awareness of different stakeholders in the society about the peace and order condition in Mindanao and the factors contributing to it. She stressed out that as leaders of the community, we must be the first to acquire practical knowledge on how to prevent conflicts in our environment. Basically, the role of the External Linkages Office during the Forum was to open a channel for understanding and cooperation among leaders in Northern Mindanao on issues affecting peace and order as a social responsibility of the school to promote a harmonious, sustainable and healthy living.
