La Salle University undertakes measures and processes so that every student can participate actively in co-curricular activities, which contribute to a balanced formation of students. The establishment and operation of student organization in all colleges and universities are governed by the rules and regulations established by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

ACADEMIC ORGANIZATIONS

ASSOCIATION OF LASALLIAN GEODETIC ENGINEERING STUDENTS (ALGES)
ALGES is an academic organization of all Geodetic Engineering students of La Salle University, Ozamiz City. It is a venue of geodetic engineering students for their practical work and in support with the College of Engineering vision mission. It also promotes the goals and objectives of the institution.

ASSOCIATION OF FUTURE OFFICE ADMINISTRATORS (AFOA)
AFOA implores aims to promote unity and closer relationship among the students of La Salle University; develops and improve the knowledge and skills in the field of concentration of the Office Administration students’ which undertakes practical activities.

JUNIOUR CHAMBER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATORS (JCBA)
The JCBA aims at developing technically capable and socially responsible Christian entrepreneurs through educational field trips, career talks, symposia, and other course-related activities.

ENGLISH COMMUNICATORS CLUB (ECC)
ECC infuses among the students the spirit of intellectual communication, to promote cooperation and solidarity among its members and to conduct literary contests and other English related activities especially during English Week Celebration. It aims to inline with the desire to enhance the student's communications skills in English.

GUILD OF SCIENCE MAJORS (GSM)
The aim of this organization is to commerce, facilitate, and support student activities that further the common interest and individual development of students, most particularly in the field of Science and Technology.

JUNIOR ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORK STUDENTS (JASWS)
The main objective of JASWS is to promote respect, cooperation, friendship, commitment to serve and competence among Social Work Students, and to infuse the members the true value of human dignity.

JUNIOR INSTITUTE OF ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING OF THE PHILIPPINES LSU CHAPTER (JIECEP)
JIECEP is a local chapter student organization of ECE student here in LSU. It helps in the promotion of ECE ideals and thrust in making effective communications in the field of electronic technology and communications. In addition, it supports the vision-mission of the College of Engineering and thereby upholding the vision mission of the university.

LA SALLE UNIVERSITY FLAIR TENDER’S LEAGUE (LSUFL)
This league has been designed to prepare the HM/HRM students in their professions and to provide a good quality and skilled bar staff. It furthers encourages students taken such major to possessed one of the most fascinating skills that deals with the functions, activities and alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktail mixing.

 

LA SALLE UNIVERSITY MATH CLUB (LSU-MATH CLUB)
LSU Math Club is an academic organization that houses Math lovers’ students. It helps promotes the beauty of mathematics to every college students thereby helping each other solving math problems. The organization is composed of all students who take major in math and those students who are willing toe extend their expertise in mathematics.

LASALLIAN ANTI-CRIME SQUAD (LACS)
LACS organization is composed of all criminology students which aim to utilize their abilities in the effective maintenance of peace and order, prevent and control crimes, ensure security and safety within their exclusive jurisdiction, in adherence to the motto of La Salle University.

LASALLIAN SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVOCATES (LSSEA)
LSSEA is an organization of education students major in special education. Members serves as a model to both Lasallian and non-Lasallian community in promoting the ideals and principles of Special Education. It is a venue to where the students can appreciate how the care special people with special care and living up the slogan “We provide Special Touch for Special Ones.”

PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF CIVIL ENGINEERS (PICE)
It is college-based student organization which aims to develop talents and skills of all Civil Engineering students through worthwhile and varied co-curricular and extra curricular activities.

STUDENT SUPREME COUNCIL (SSC)

Supreme Student Councils is a college-based accredited organization embodying the students’ ideals and aspirations in accordance with the university rules and regulations and state policy.
All bonafide college students of LSU is automatically considered a member of the student body of SSC. It is composed of qualified and officially elected students from different schools as voted by the majority.
The SSC aims to develop strong, law-abiding, open minded and socially responsible citizens through its year round programs and various activities.
                The officers of the SSC, on the other hand, shall be composed of qualified and officially elected students from different schools as voted by the majority.
                As a student organization, the SSC believes in the vision-mission of La Salle University.  It commits itself to promote the welfare of the whole studentry and uphold their rights.

Programs/Activities Conducted by SSC

COLLEGE/SCHOOL BASED ORGANIZATIONS

ASSOCIATION OF COMPUTER ENTHUSIASTS (ACE)
An organization conscious of the need to promote the awareness, interests and skills of everyone towards information technology and its related issues for both academic, co curricular and extra curricular activities. It also helps the College of Computer Studies in the welfare and development of the CCS students toward excellence and service in the filed of technology and communications.

ASSOCIATION OF FUTURE ENGINEERS AND ARCHITECTS (AFEA)
AFEA represents the engineering and architect students of La Salle University. It is a venue to enhance the talents and leadership skills among engineering students. Furthermore, it aims towards excellence in extra curricular activities and in academic related activities and also promotes peace and justice and extension of service to the community.

COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES STUDENT COUNCIL (CASSC)
CASSC is the central student organization of Arts and Sciences students. It aims to develop the students' potentials and promote their cooperation, friendship, excellence and welfare through it various co-curricular activities.

COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS STUDENT COUNCIL (CBESC)
CBESC aims to develop leadership skills, establish unity and teamwork among its members through participation in the university activities and a venue for future business entrepreneurs to access and practice their skills gained from their respective courses.

FUTURE HOTELIER AND RESTAURATEUR ORGANIZATION (FHARO)
Is a school-based student organization of HM/HRM which aims to unite the students and perform the duties as professional hoteliers and restaurateurs in the future. FHARO seeks to promote unity and camaraderie among the students in the School of Hospitality Management and support the University in realizing its goals and objectives. Moreover, it strives hard towards youth for excellent and service and takes part in the school’s mission by exercising self-discipline and perseverance to be able to serve co-students who are in need of assistance and guidance in line with its field of expertise.

JUNIOR PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTANTS (JPIA)
JPIA is an organization of Accountancy students who earnestly desire to practice their accounting skills and shall be instrumental in the development of the students in the field of accounting education in preparation for CPA examination and practice of the accounting profession.

NURSING ASSOCIATION TOWARDS COMMUNITY’S HEALTH (NATCH)
                NATCH is geared towards the promotion of health in the community. It serves as a holistic catalyst of health theories and practices and shall be instrumental in the developing positive attitudes, obtaining knowledge and acquiring beginning skills among student nurses to help them become self-directed and caring professionals.

ORGANIZATION OF FUTURE EDUCATORS (OFE)
OFE is the main organization of the College of Education, which aims mainly to develop the holistic personality of future educators. It also provides opportunities to enhance students' talents, skills and potentials. This aims is carried out through the different extended clubs of the college through which leadership skills and values of cooperation, unity and teamwork are also developed.

SOCIO CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS

COLLEGE RED CROSS YOUTH (CRCY)
                CRCY is an organization of students having an earnest desire to render voluntary service to the school community through its assistance during emergencies. Its mission is to educate children and youth in the spirit of the Red Cross and provide opportunities for directing and harnessing their energy in service for others. Such students through orientation and training are motivated to internalize and actualize the Red Cross humanitarian ideals, thus making them prepared to respond to disasters and other emergencies.

DE LA SALLE SHIDOKAN
DE La Salle SHIDOKAN is organized to build a kind and benevolent character through Karate. The style of its Karate is Shorin-Ryu (Kobayashi-Ryu). It aims First, to maintain, preserve, develop and promote the different aspect of Karate Do: Physical, mental, spiritual, art, self-defense, sports and as a value centered martial art and Second, to discipline the spirit; mind; and body to let go of selfish pride- the false self in order to live a life centered on God - the true self through the practice of Obedience and Humility, Generosity, Word of Honor, Silence and Meditation, Concentration and Composure and Lastly, to incorporate Christian Spirituality in the Zern practices of Karate.

CO-CURRICULAR ORGANIZATION

GO GREEN
                It is a voluntary and service-oriented student organization composed of all student levels from the various colleges of the university.  It aims to support Carbon Neutral through mitigation and tree planting activities. 

INSTITUTE OF INTEGRATED ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS – LSU STUDENT CHAPTER (IIEE-LSU SC)
It is an organization of every Electrical Engineering student of La Salle University which promotes the awareness, interests, potential and skills for both academic & extra-curricular activities.

LSU DANCE SOCIETY
LSUDS is organized to discover and enhance the self-esteem and creative talents of students in dancing. It aims to foster self confidence, closer relationship, teamwork and sportsmanship among each member. It further promotes creative and artistic dancing in a modern way.

LA SALLE UNIVERSITY WORKING SCHOLAR ASSOCIATION (LSU-WSA)
LSU WSA is an organization of all Working Scholars of La Salle University. It promotes solidarity and camaraderie among working assistants. It further serves as an avenue of the working assistant to practice good leadership and enhancement of their skills, talents and functions in the institution.

LECTORS AND SERVERS
It adheres to the vision-mission of La Salle University and encourages the Lasallian Community with respect to the rights and interest of students and brings them closer to God through active participation at Masses. It also assists the Campus Ministry Office in their operations like recollections and other spiritual awareness and Lasallian formations.

MAPE/PEHM Organization
MAPE/PEHM is an organization of students majoring in Music, Arts & Physical Education (MAPE) and Physical Education, Health and Music (PEHM) which aims to develop the singing, dancing, sports, and Arts skills and talents of its members through participation in different school activities and programs.  The organization also aims to foster closer relationship, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship and creativity among its members.

PEER FACILITATORS (PF)
PF is a voluntary and service-oriented student organization that helps facilitate the
implementation of activities of the Guidance Center. It upholds the necessity of total development of individuals and thus commits itself to work for the realization of such goal by conducting the following objectives: a) to be of service to the students in the conduct of seminars, lectures, discussions, tutorials and individual conference, b) to develop unity so those members can effectively participate in school activities and initiate their own programs and activities, c) to tap potentials, talents and skills of students, d) to draw more students to the guidance center, and e) to help students with problems and refer these students to the guidance center.

PSYCHOLOGICAL SOCIETY
Psychological Society develops wholesome and harmonious interpersonal relationship among students; provides activities for the development of the students’ interest, talents and potentialities; undertakes projects for enrichment and foster student-teacher relationship.

YOUTH TOWARDS HUMANITY (YOUTH)
An organization for voluntary and service-oriented students that aims to promote advocacy and inculcation of moral values and character building of individuals; protection of life and promotion of community health; service, solidarity, national/international friendship, understanding, education for peace and awareness of International Humanitarian Law.
