The never-ending struggle to better the academe and its clientele is a legacy that this institution can be very proud of. From being a mere college, now it has blossomed into a university with a Level III accreditation status by virtue given by the Commission on Higher Education and PAASCU respectively. Thus, quality in instruction and the best approaches in shaping souls can now be felt more than ever.
The joint efforts of the school administration, faculty and staff in catering to the needs of their learners have provided the students with the best possible environment where they can grasp the learning they need. The use of technology in instruction has also benefited the students well. It has always been the administration’s goal to provide the students the state-of-the-art facilities that they will need in their education. The system that the university is using in almost all of its tasks is computer-based. The campus is also equipped with WiFi hotspots. Computer terminals are also present inside the campus giving free internet access to those who need it. This equipment makes students aware of the advanced technology present at the moment and helps in producing globally competitive graduates in the future.
To better facilitate learning, four audio-visual rooms are available for students’ and faculty use. Each equipped with a high-end LCD/DLP projector and a laptop or a PC. These technologies equip the students and the teachers with the skills and the knowledge in integrating technology in instruction. A speech lab is also within students’ reach. With this, students’ enunciation skills are effectively honed and improved through the help of expert teachers in the field of speech and language teaching. A number of laboratories are also at hand to give concrete learning experiences to those students with specializations in Biology, Chemistry and other fields of endeavor.
Aside from these state-of-the-art technologies available, it is also commendable that the institution has never set aside the importance on inculcating values to its clienteles. The presence of Religious Education classes and other activities centered to students’ value formation are clear signs of making every Lasallian in La Salle University-Ozamiz City value-laden individuals.
Thus, we are pretty-well sure that every Lasallian in La Salle University-Ozamiz City is holistically prepared towards the challenges of the future.
